Will the Crisp chatbox slow down my website?

Crisp takes Web performance seriously. We do implement performance best-practices in the way we built our chatbox.

The Crisp chatbox loads up asynchronously, without blocking the load of your website's assets. The chatbox pops up when your page DOM (Document Object Model) has been fully constructed and is ready to be used. This way, we ensure the render time of your website stays untouched.

We work hard to reduce the network impact of the Crisp chatbox on slow and high-latency networks. Our servers support the latest HTTP/2 standard, which greatly improves Web performances. We also pack the chatbox images in sprites, so that we avoid accessing the network multiple times over the chatbox use lifecycle.
